CLARITY, COMMUNICATION AND CONTINUITY

Are there aspects of your family enterprise that feel murky, mysterious or ill-defined? We’ll explore how families can align across ownership, leadership and generations, navigating capital decisions, managing conflict and sustaining engagement. At Transitions Fall 2026, you’ll learn how to reduce friction, build trust and support long-term continuity and stability.

Transitions Fall 2026 is unique.

  • Speakers from family companies: Our focus is on speakers from family enterprises, sharing real-life problems and solutions.
  • Intimate, open environment: Limited attendance, and a private "safe harbor" environment in which to openly share challenges and opportunities with other families.
  • Collaborative discussions: Opportunities to work through family issues via guided discussions.
  • Transformational Women in Family Business Awards Join us as we celebrate the great achievements of this year’s winners, who represent a large variety of industries, family sizes and generations. Our honorees have made inroads in areas such as leadership, governance, and innovation, to name a few. They will share their insights and experiences.
  • No-Sell Environment: Conference sponsors understand and commit to participating as thought leaders and experts, and are restricted from actively selling their products and services.
  • Peer groups: Attendees get the opportunity to engage in small working groups with a facilitator leading the session. This is a tech-free place for you to share stories, resources and experiences in a confidential environment with other family businesses.
  • Networking with families like yours: Hosted networking, opening reception, meals, breaks and workshops are all designed to promote organic communication with fellow attendees.
  • Family focus: Brought to you by family-owned Family Business Magazine. We use family-owned or family-controlled hotels, transportation services, restaurants and service providers whenever possible. We believe in, and invest in, America's family businesses.

  • Learn how to achieve a common language with your family members to discuss those difficult issues with a positive outcome.
  • Topic-based breakouts and peer groups allow you and your family members to drill down more deeply into areas of specific interest or need.
  • You'll share stories, resources and experiences in an engaging environment.
