THE ONLY CONFERENCE TACKLING THE CRITICAL CHALLENGES OF WEALTH GENERATION AND MANAGEMENT, ESTATE PLANNING, NEXTGEN FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND OWNERSHIP TRANSFER

“Fantastic resource for all generations.”
— 2025 Family Business Legacy attendee

STEWARDSHIP WITHOUT STRINGS

You can’t choose your family, but you can decide whether and how to work together as stewards of multigenerational wealth and legacy. A strong family legacy isn’t defined by tradition alone — it’s shaped by the choices each generation makes about how they work together, grow together and steward wealth with intention.

Family Business Legacy 2026 will explore how enterprising families can stay connected without feeling constrained, building a culture that honors the past while empowering every generation to pursue opportunity, purpose and healthy independence.

Through candid stories, expert insights and peer conversations, you’ll:

  • See how families honor legacy while making smart decisions to sell, diversify or create liquidity — and reinvest their values in new ventures and philanthropy.
  • Explore practical ways to include spouses and partners in governance and education without blurring boundaries or straining trust.
  • Learn how to build modern estate plans and long-lasting trusts that balance structure, flexibility and long-term purpose.
  • Get guidance on handling sensitive topics — from prenups to trust communication — in ways that reduce tension and strengthen alignment across generations.

Join a community of families committed to building structures, relationships and a shared purpose that endures — not by obligation, but by choice.

Join your peers to explore:

  • Honoring Legacy While Providing Liquidity
  • Inclusion Without Intrusion: The Married-In Balance
  • Engineering an Enduring Estate Plan
  • Making Prenups Less Painful
  • Perpetuity With Purpose: Designing Trusts and Philanthropic Vehicles for Lasting Impact
  • Creating Trusts Without Destroying Trust

The Family Business Legacy Difference:

  • Advice from families and family offices who share lessons learned from their successes ... and failures
  • Collaborative discussions and peer groups
  • Intimate, confidential and honest conversations
  • Unparalleled networking opportunities
  • No-sell environment

Plus: an optional Pre-Conference Intensive, "Family Office Models: Centralized vs. Distributed Approaches" will focus on structuring effective family offices for varying asset levels and needs.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Family Business Legacy helps owners and members of operating family businesses and enterprises, and their family offices, navigate the complex issues surrounding legacy and wealth generation and transfer.

Family Business events approach everything from a real-world perspective. Our moderators are industry experts; our family business and family office speakers share real experiences in an authentic and open environment.

Attendance is limited to family business owners, senior executives (including non-family executives or non-family board members), family trust directors/executives, family council leaders, family office leaders, or shareholders of family-owned businesses whose primary business is other than advising family-owned businesses.

NOTE: All attendees will be vetted prior to acceptance of registration. No advisors or service providers may attend unless as a sponsor. For information on sponsorship opportunities, contact David Shaw at dshaw@familybusinessmagazine.com.
